A tale as old as time

I grew up believing in those cliche “And they lived happy ever after” stories. As a kid, I used to watch every Disney Princess movie (Even now haha), read stories as to how they met their ‘Prince Charming’, and collected every issue of ‘Princess’ magazine.

But my favorite was Belle’s story. Beauty and the Beast. I don’t know how but the story really made me believe that even in real life, happy ever afters really do come true. Back then, I loved Cinderella the most (I think everyone did too) but then I found out there was nothing really special about her, except for the fact that she ran away from her prince at 12 midnight in the middle of a ball. Haha. No offense to those who love her though! :) It was Beauty and the Beast that really wormed its way into my heart (chos) and I found myself loving the story. My ninang (godmother) from Canada sent me some Beauty and the Beast collectibles and really found them cute. Lolbols

ANYWAY. After waiting for how many years, Beauty and the Beast is finally on 3D!!!!!! (Imagine my excitement when I heard all about it)

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ magical classic Beauty and the Beast returns to the big screen in Disney Digital 3D(TM), introducing a whole new generation to the Disney classic with stunning new 3D imagery. The film captures the fantastic journey of Belle (voice of Paige O’Hara), a bright and beautiful young woman who’s taken prisoner by a hideous beast (voice of Robby Benson) in his castle. Despite her precarious situation, Belle befriends the castle’s enchanted staff-a teapot, a candelabra and a mantel clock, among others-and ultimately learns to see beneath the Beast’s exterior to discover the heart and soul of a prince. — (C) Disney

Yes, I know this has already been premiered last January 13, but it hasn’t yet here in Davao (we’re still on Chipmunks 3: Chipwrecked. Sad, I know) but I will so not let this moment pass! Update you soon xx
